Pete, here's what works for me when a sandwich is too messy. When we are eating out I will use extra napkins to wrap the sandwich/burger or resort to a knife and fork. Wrapping a sandwich this way probably isn't going to help M A though. On those days that Charlie goes to work , he prepares us a sandwich that we share. Each half goes into a plastic sandwich bag. His goes with him and mine goes into the fridge. When I'm eating it, if the meat is loose and looks like it wants to fall out I use the bag as a wrap while eating. That might work or I have another way that will work and help to keep a hot sandwich warm longer. We sometimes have a tortilla sandwich that we share. After Charlie has warmed the two halves he wraps mine in foil. That works great for me. I haven't tried it, but just ask for some foil when ordering at a restaurant if you want to try that for containment. It's best wrapped at an angle. Both of these items will need adjustment as the sandwich gets smaller, but that's one of your jobs, right? That's my tip for the day/night.
In regards to coping with change to your daily planner, I say to celebrate that you are doing sooooo many things well. Not coping as well as we think we should, just reminds us that we are human.
